Olympics inequality

These Olympics just ended seemed to me, like all others, an exaltation of the waste and construction and the concrete, material reigning in these issues, as circus, it happens every four years in a city.

The Olympics should be the exaltation of a united world, without political or social differences, where everyone can experience a period of peace through sport, the only tool that can connect two people.

I remember in elementary school studied the Greeks and their Olympics, and I seem to remember that when this event took place all wars, injustice and indifference of any kind were discontinued.

Now, with violence in Georgia and a thousand other wars in the world, even small ones, remain undisputed.

China, in these Olympics, a country rich look is desired and beneficial, with thousands of athletes who sweat seven shirts to gain an hour.

Stadiums, mega sports halls, swimming pools and soccer fields have not been able to conceal the poverty that still exists in the suburbs: illiterate children, families who lost a house to make room (must) to a shopping mall and Tibetan people who do not able to claim their rights even today.
now everything is fake in the Olympics: Athletes who despite being raised by the glory of journalists and sponsors assume drugs, surpassing even those who every day are constantly in pursuit of their dream true.
And then, just the athletes seem representatives of warring nations, that compete to claim the "I'm stronger" in this simulated war.
Nevertheless, I must say that I liked a lot, even if I failed to recognize the great social changes in a country so advanced to the Olympic Games.
